Wolcott Mill in Ray Township (Michigan) is a hidden gem in my opinion. Why did it take me so long to find this special place? My first time here, I walked the grounds for hours with virtually no one else around; the glorious sounds of birds and crickets made the journey one I did not want to end. The fall foliage was breathtaking, as were the pops of purple color that dotted the landscape, as evident in this brilliant close-up shot.

Sheryl is a Michigander, through and through. She loves to travel all over the state, specifically The Thumb region. With family roots in the Bad Axe and Kinde areas, and a family home in Harbor Beach, she has been exposed to more natural beauty than one can imagine...perfect for the photographer in her! Sheryl's emphasis is on nature photography, with a preference for landscape and macro photography. She loves walks with her dog, birding, coffee, earthy scents, music, traveling, and daydreaming about floating in the clouds above.
