Sheryl is a Michigander, through and through. She loves to travel all over the state, specifically The Thumb region. With family roots in the Bad Axe and Kinde areas, and a family home in Harbor Beach, she has been exposed to more natural beauty than one can imagine...perfect for the photographer in her! Her dogs wonder how many times she's going to pull off to the side of the road to get that "perfect" shot. Sheryl's emphasis is on nature photography, with a preference for landscape and macro photography.
Sheryl holds a BFA in Graphic Design and a BA in Anthropology, with Minors in Biology and Spanish. Her diverse background has provided her with the foundation for appreciating many subjects when photographing. She is texture-driven with an incredible eye for detail, making her compositions impeccable.
She loves birds, coffee, earthy scents, kisses from her dogs, music, traveling, and daydreaming about floating in the clouds above. Her favorite quote is from Henry David Thoreau:
"I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself than be crowded on a velvet cushion."
